Third and Fourth XI Player of the Year
Scott Blair is a young pace bowler who has shown definite promise in the last
couple of years and this season he began to deliver, finishing the
season as the leading wicket taker for the Third XI and eventually earning
himself a Second XI spot towards the end of the season.
His 16 wickets for the Third XI were taken at an average of just 12.37 and his
best performance of the season saw him take 5 for 16 in his only match for the
Second XI against previously unbeaten Cooke Collegians.
He has also shown ability in his batting, contributing 19 runs in an unlikely
9th wicket match-winning partnership of 42 at Lisburn in the Lindsay Minor
Qualifying Cup.

Fifth XI Player of the Year
In a bizarre season which saw the Fifth XI secure the Division Four - Section
Two title despite managing to play only a handful of matches, seasoned
campaigner, Davy Wight, shone to augment some creditable performances from
our younger members under the captaincy of Davy McKillen.
As top wicket-taker, with best bowling of 4 for 29, and top run-scorer, with a
highest score of 35, Davy Wight was deservedly awarded the Fifth XI Player of
the Year Award.

Under-13 Bowler of the Year
In his first full season with the Club, David Robinson, performed consistently
well at Under-13 and Under-15 level as well as securing himself a place in the
Saturday XI's. At youth level, he managed a creditable 12 wickets for the season
at an average of just 10.83 and has shown himself to be a very good prospect
for the future.

Under-13 Batsman of the Year
Another youngster showing great potential is Michael Gilmour. At youth level,
he scored 93 runs with an average of 15.50 and a highest score of 35 not out and
showed steady improvement throughout the season. He too has established himself
as a regular member of the Saturday XI's and played a couple of vital innings
for the Fifth XI in their championship campaign.

Under-15 Bowler of the Year
Andy Wilson has demonstrated himself to be a very promising all-rounder. He was
the Under-15's main strike bowler and finished the season as their leading
wicket-taker. Added to his prominence in the bowling attack, he also scored more
than 150 runs at youth level. Andy also played regularly on the Fourth and Fifth
XI's, taking 13 wickets at an average of just 10.77, conceding only 2.85 runs
per over. He was also selected to represent Belfast Under-14's, who won the
Lords' Taverners Inner Cities Cup at Arundel in August.

Under-15 Batsman of the Year
Mark McCrae has this season demonstrated himself to be not only a gifted young
batsman but also a talented bowler, fielder and wicket-keeper. His opportunities
this season were limited by the weather but he has done enough to suggest great
potential for the future and was given a couple of First XI opportunities
towards the end of the season. Like Andy, he was a vital member of the winning
Belfast Under-14's at Arundel. He proved to be the team's most successful
batsman, scoring 119 runs in 4 innings with a high score of 49, as well as
keeping wicket very capably. His efforts saw his Belfast team-mates vote him as
their Player of the Tournament'.
