Ulster summers - compare and contrast...

The recent weather has been a sore point for everyone involved with cricket with the season pretty much decimated up to this point. Even by the standards of this summer, however, the rain in Carrickfergus a couple of Fridays back was nothing short of monsoon-like. Many houses in the town suffered some degree of flooding and the ground didn't fare too much better! The two photos below provide a stark but deeply depressing contrast of years past and the year present... Tonto was last seen crying into a very large pint of Guinness at the bar! On a lighter note, (in the best Trevor McDonald fashion!), our own Ally McCalmont and Kiwi Shane Singe have never been lads who let things get them down and, as the following picture series shows, they made the best of the conditions at hand.
