Youth Cricket Special Award
This year, Carrickfergus legend Robin Beggs presented the Club with a voucher for cricket equipment to be presented to the most promising young player. This year it was decided that the recipient should be a young all-rounder, Glenn Shimmon. Glenn scored his first 50 or the Under 13 team against Muckamore and followed that up with another for Carrickfergus Grammar School in the Miles Cup final. He is also a very accurate young left-arm bowler. Glenn represented the Club in an Under 12 NCU team who played the North-West this year.
