Club Cricketer of the Year
When his 470 runs at an average of 47 are added to his bowling figures, Ryan
is yet again ranked in the NCU top 10 all-rounders in the CricketEurope
statistics for the 2011 season. So for the 12th consecutive season, Ryan
Eagleson is our deserving recipient of the "Cricketer of the Year" award.

First XI Batsman of the Year
Retaining his trophy, this year's winner, Mikey Taiaroa was not only
Carrickfergus C.C.'s Batsman of the Year but also won the NCU Batsman
of the Year award. He broke the record for the greatest number of runs
scored for our First XI in a season set by AB de Villiers in 2004. He
may have taken twice as many innings as AB to do it but his 987 runs
at an average of 61.69 which included 2 x 100's and 6 x 50's was still
a tremendous effort. If the final match of the season against CIYMS had
not been a wash-out, he would surely have been the first
player to reach 1000 runs in a season.

With Mikey back in New Zealand, a presentation of both trophies will
be arranged upon his return.

First XI Bowler of the Year
OUr winner, Ryan Eagleson, may now have taken over 500 wickets in almost 20
seasons for our First XI but he is still bowling as well as ever and remains
one of the best opening bowlers in the NCU.
He once again topped the bowling averages this year, his 22 wickets coming
at an average of 22.82 with best figures of 5 for 21 against Muckamore.
