27/12/2011 Senior teams' league and cup fixtures available...
The 2012 fixtures page has now been updated to display all First, Second,
Third and Midweek XI fixtures for both league and cups (except Twenty20 Cup
which are not currently available).
All youth fixtures and the Twenty20 fixtures will be added when they become
available.

The Club's annual dinner was held on Friday 18th November and was
the usual sociable occasion, allowing the Club to honour its
oustanding achievers of the season past.
We now have the photographs from the night available as well as a
full list of prize-winners
from the night.

23/11/2011 Ulster Bank Challenge Cup Draw...
The draw for the Ulster Bank Challenge Cup 2011 was made on Tuesday and
resulted in arguably the toughest draw imaginable for Carrickfergus C.C.
with the Club facing holders Waringstown away.

01/07/2011 Greenisland win CCC Kwik Cricket...
Carrickfergus Cricket Club held its annual Kwik Cricket
tournament for local primary schools at Middle Road last
Tuesday, with 8 teams and over 80 children taking part.
Greenisland PS were the eventual winners, defeating Eden
PS by just 16 runs in a closely contested final. Both
sides contained a number of players from the local Cricket
Club's Under 11 squad. The tournament was well organised by
Carrick coach Ross Gelderbloem who was assisted by Mikey
Taiaroa, Jamie Holmes, and Alex Haggan.

23/04/2011 Outdoor practise schedule details...
The outdoor practise schedule for the coming season is as follows:
Mon 6-9pm - Junior Practise
6.00-7.30 pm - Under 13's (Years 8 & 9)
** Except 2 May **
7.30-9.00 pm - Under 15's (Years 10 & 11)
Tues 6-9pm - Club Practice Night
(All players to attend).
Wed 6.30-9pm - Under 11 & One-to-one
6.30-7.30 pm - Under 11's (Primary School)
7.30-9.00 pm - Under 15's (One-to-one coaching for all age groups by invitation).
Thur 6.30-9.00pm - 1st/2nd XI Squad
(All 1st / 2nd XI players to attend).
Qualified coaches in attendence at all sessions.
Teams are fielded in league and cup competitions at U11, U13,
U15, and U17 age groups.
Carrickfergus Cricket Club has achieved Clubmark NI accreditation
having met quality standards in: Effective Management, Quality Coaching
and Competition, and Safety in Sport.

Cannon Motors Limited, the local Hyundai dealers have once again
provided a sponsored car for the Club's overseas coach. This is the
fifth year Cannon Motors have provided this invaluable sponsorship
for the Club, for which we are most grateful.
Ross Gelderbloen received a Hyundai i10 1.2 Classic from Peter
Morgan, Cannon Motors' Dealer Principal at their temporary headquarters
in the de Courcy Centre. Cannon Motors will move back to their newly
refurbished premises on the Belfast Road in June, and the Club wishes
them well, and thanks them for their valued continuiing support.

23/04/2011 Ulster Bank in major new NCU sponsorship...
Carrickfergus Cricket Club has become the latest club to
One of Ulster’s leading banks has completed a cricketing hat trick
with the announcement of two major sponsorships.
Ulster Bank already sponsors the Northern Cricket Union’s Senior
League. It has now scored a league and cup double by putting its name
to the Senior Challenge Cup and the Bank will also sponsor the NCU’s
125th Anniversary Dinner at which the guest of honour will be the
former England captain Michael Vaughan.

Carrickfergus Cricket Club has become the latest club to
be accredited on the Cricket Ireland / Clubmark NI Club
Accreditation Scheme.

01/03/2011 Pakistan ODI's and match re-arrangements...
Ireland will play two ODIs versus Pakistan on Saturday 28 May
and Monday 30 May 2011 at Stormont.
The NCU has declared Saturday 28 May a closed date for all
cricket including schools cricket.
The following will apply:
Challenge and Junior Cup
These matches will be played on Sunday 29 May. (Reserve date
5 June).
Clubs who have opted not to play on Sunday will play on
Saturday 4 June (Reserve date 11 June)
CSNI will play on Sunday 5 June (Reserve date 12 June)
Senior League Fixtures
To be rearranged in normal way
Postponed matches from earlier in the season due to be played
on 29 May and will be further postponed due to rearranged
Challenge and Junior Cup fixtures can be extended to 12 June
Junior League Fixtures
Normal rearrangement rules will apply
The Union is pleased to be hosting Ireland's first home fixtures
after the ICC World Cup and are sure our clubs and their members
will turnout at both games to give a warm welcome to Ireland and
their opponents.

12/01/2011 News from cup draws...
Northern Cricket Union Chairman Roger Bell and President Dr. Murray
Power made the 2011 draws for the various NCU Cup competitions at
Newforge Country Club on Thursday.
Carrickfergus 1st XI have been drawn at home to Bangor in the NCU
Challenge Cup, the match due to be played at Middle Road on 28th May.
Carrick last met the Co Down side in the cup in the quarter final of
the 2007 competition, which Carrick won convincingly by a margin of
116 runs.
In the Clubturf Ulster Cup, Carrickfergus have been drawn at home to
Strabane in the 1st Round.
Carrick's 2nd XI have been favoured with a home draw in the Junior
Cup, against Section 3 side Dungannon. The 2nd XI have also been
handed a home fixture in the Ulster Plate, against Eglinton II
The 3rd XI receive a bye in the first round of the Minor Cup before
facing a tricky second round match at home to North Down III, while
the 4th XI travel to play Instonians IV in the first round of the Minor
Qualifying Cup.
