Robin Beggs Batting Style Bowling Style Right-hand Right-arm off-spin Profile Club stalwart who made his debut while a schoolboy in 1949 and was still playing in the late 1990's, thus representing the Club during six decades. Was a fixture on the 1st XI from the mid-50's until 1988, taking over 1,000 wickets. Originally a fast bowler, then bowled very accurate off-cutters to great effect. Took 10 wickets in innings v Templepatrick 1985 - His bowling analysis was 14-6-11-10. 4 wickets in 4 balls in a Mid-Week League match in 1993. Player of the Year 1967 & 1971. Won 1st XI Bowling Cup 8 times. Ist XI Captain 1960-61, 1965, 1968-69, and 1975-81. Club President 1983-91 and 1998-99.
