Award Winners at Club Dinner

Club Cricketer of the Year
Yet another superb all-round season for our winner. This was one of his best seasons with the ball for many years, finishing as second-top wicket-taker in the NCU Premier League this season with best figures of 4 for 10 and taking his first-ever hat-trick at the highest level. He took a total of 40 wickets at 14.50. He also scored 435 runs at 31.07 and, with Andrew Cowden, has just been named in the NCU's Team of the Year. The Club Cricketer of the Year for an incredible seventh successive year, and the tenth time in total, was Club Captain, Ryan Eagleson.

First XI Batsman of the Year
Winning the Batsman of the Year Award for the ninth occasion, Barry Cooper had another superb year with the bat, surpassing 8,000 career runs for Carrickfergus this season. Another fine season saw him rack a total of 540 runs at 45.00, including two centuries.

First XI Bowler of the Year
In presenting, last year's Young Cricketer of the Year to Andrew Cowden, Roger commented that his bowling "had improved sufficiently to see him pick up 10 wickets". This year he was able to announce his arrival as a genuine top-class all-rounder. In addition to scoring over 500 runs, (for the second consecutive season), Rowdy also notched up 32 wickets at 16.09, finishing in 5th position in the NCU Premier League table of leading wicket- takers and 8th in the table for bowling averages.
