Award Winners at Club Dinner

Vauxhall Tankard Award
The Vauxhall Tankard Award is presented to the individual who contributes the season's most outstanding match-winning performance. This year, the honour went to Joe Campbell.

In the first match of the season, the Second XIs had slumped to 17 for 5 when Joe went to the crease. His 113 runs was instrumental in reaching a strong final total of 219 for 9 in 50 overs. From this position, the match was won comfortably and the victory helped set the tone for the successful promotion-winning season which follwed.

Young Cricketer of the Year
This year's winner, Michael Gilmour, has shown trmendous potential at every level during his development at the Club. He scored consistently well in the second half of the season and earned a promotion to opening the batting in the last few games, culminating in a fine fifty against Waringstown at The Lawn. He scored a total of 268 runs for the Club this season at an average of 17.87.

He also represented Irish Universities and scored a fifty against MCC in Dublin and chalked up a massive score 170 in the Irish Universities championship themselves.
